"I'm going to start working out more, just so I can throw you off a roof," she grumbled. And then stuck her tongue out at him. Because he deserved it.

But then her face settled slightly. "They're not my family," she said. "Grimm and Duke are kinda kin? Because my mom was a djinn? But I don't think they really knew each other. And Callista is legally my guardian, but that doesn't make her family."
